FINANCIAL AID PROCESS

 Step1.  Complete and Submit the FAFSA, list school(s) you will attend. Please take note of your EFC

              (Expected Family Contribution)

       

Step 2   You will receive your Student Aid Report (SAR) by email. Time: 2-3 days. Please read the first page

             for important information.

 

Step 3   Return to the school’s financial aid office 7 to 10 days after you have submitted your FAFSA and turn in

              any documents they need from you: Time: 7-10 days

     

 Step 4  You will receive an Award letter from the financial aid department once you have a completed

             financial aid file (you have turned  in all needed documents).  You award letter will be sent to your

             student email. You can also view your award in your student portal. Time: 4-8 weeks

             Keep in periodic contact with financial aid! 

 

Step 5  How financial aid pays for classes (see back side –  “How Not To Be Dropped From Classes”)

            Reapply for FAFSA every year prior to the school’s “Priority Deadline” New FAFSA available Jan 1st
